For many pups, finding a sense of community can be one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Whether you’re brand new to pup play, have been part of the community for years, or simply enjoy the friendships and connections that come with it, having a place to belong matters.
That’s exactly why Society of Pups was created.
Our vision is simple: to build a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused space where pups and handlers from across the United Kingdom and around the world can come together, make friends, organise events, and support one another.
More Than Just a Forum
While The Kennel provides a place for discussion and conversation, Society of Pups is about much more than online posts.
We want to encourage genuine connections and help members find opportunities to socialise in ways that suit them. For some, that may be attending a local pub meet. For others, it could be joining a bowling team, taking part in a board game night, attending Pride events, or simply meeting fellow pups for a coffee and a chat.
The strongest communities are built through shared experiences, and we hope Society of Pups can help create many of those moments.
Finding Your Local Pack
One of the key features of Society of Pups is the creation of regional Packs.
Each Pack provides a space for local members to connect, share information, organise events, and support one another. Whether you’re based in Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, London, Brighton, Leeds, South Wales, or beyond, you’ll be able to find fellow community members nearby.
As our membership grows, we look forward to supporting even more Packs throughout the UK and internationally.
After all, while we may live in different places, we’re all part of the same wider community.
A Place for New Pups
Entering any new community can feel daunting.
Questions such as “Where do I start?”, “What gear do I need?”, or “How do I meet other pups?” are incredibly common.
That’s why we’ve created dedicated spaces such as The Training School, where members can ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another in a friendly and supportive environment.
Every experienced pup was once a beginner, and helping newcomers feel welcome is something we value deeply.
Community First
At the heart of Society of Pups are three simple principles:
Play
Enjoy the creativity, self-expression, friendship, and fun that make the pup community so unique.
Connect
Meet new people, discover local communities, join discussions, and build meaningful friendships.
Belong
Find your Pack, your people, and a community where you can be yourself.
These values guide everything we do, from how we moderate our forums to how we organise events and welcome new members.
Join the Journey
Society of Pups is only just beginning, and we’re excited about what lies ahead.
Over the coming months we’ll be growing our regional Packs, expanding community resources, promoting local events, publishing articles through The Barking Post, and creating new opportunities for members to connect both online and offline.
Whether you’re joining us from the UK or elsewhere in the world, we’re delighted to have you here.
Thank you for being part of this new adventure.
Welcome to the Pack.
🐾 Play. Connect. Belong.
